The vibrant cultural collective from Esit Eket, Akwa Ibom State, is gearing up for its most ambitious showcase yet. Dubbed _Esit Eket to the World Super Season 5_, the event will unfold at the Government Primary School in Ikpa Town on 27 December 2025,  promising a full day of music, dance, drama and spoken‑word performances that celebrate the rich heritage of the Eket people.

Organisers say the festival is more than just a concert; it’s a platform to project local talent onto the national stage and attract visitors from across Nigeria and beyond. “We want the world to feel the rhythm of Esit Eket,” said the Forum’s secretary, whose name we’ll keep anonymous for now. “From traditional drums to contemporary hip‑hop, every act tells a story of our community.

Why the timing matters

The Super Season series has become a cultural touchstone in the region, drawing crowds that swell with each edition. This year’s event comes on the heels of a renewed push for youth engagement in the arts, a topic that has resonated in local government circles. Earlier this month, the Forum submitted a formal request for financial support to the Ikpa People’s Union, outlining the event’s budget and emphasizing the cultural and economic benefits of the festival  

What to expect

- Performance lineup spanning genres: folk songs, high‑life, Afro‑beat, and a special collaborative piece involving local schools and the Esit Eket Entertainers Forum’s own dance troupe.
